Discussing the book buing proclivities of the Australians, New Zealanders, and English, noting that "occasionally the English buy books out of all reason: then again, they decline even to look at a good book for years at a time. The most crotchety public in the world." Noting that he "can feel their crotchets a little," but that they bought "a good many" copies of his Kokoro. Mentioning Professor Foxwell.
